INNER WHEEL CLUB OF VIJAYAWADA

‘Put Your Heart into It’ was the IIW theme for the year 1989-1990, when Vijayasree Gupta from IWC of Vijayawada took over the Chairmanship of District 315. During her tenure, the IIW President was Brenda Taylor from GB. Anita Agarwal from New Delhi was the Association President. In the year, the District Assembly took place in Guntur, the Rally in Vizianagaram and Conference at Vijayawada. 2 new clubs were added during the year making a total of 30 clubs. Vijayasree’s major projects include:
• Construction of bus shelter
• Construction of 3 rooms at an orphanage home
• 8 oxygen cylinders donated to a hospital
• 3 telephone booths provided to needy women as means of livelihood
Vijayasree Gupta is a swimming champion who to this day is winning laurels at the national and international levels. It has been a matter of pride and honour for the District to have had her as a District Chairman and an evergreen, active member
