Mythri Mangaraj was the President of IWC of Vijayawada in 1980-81. A young and dynamic leader, her period saw many new members joining the club. She became the District Chairman in 1984-85.

She was the first person from IWC Vijayawada & District 302 to become the Association President in 1988-89.

The 5th Triennial Conference was hosted at Vijayawada by the non-bifurcated District 315 on 5th and 6th February 1989 under the vibrant leadership of Association President Mythri Mangaraj. The Chief Guest was IIW President Alison Dawson from New Zealand. Keynote speakers were Kiran Bedi IPS, Prof. Prema Panduranga, M. R. Pai (Forum of Free Enterprise) and Journalist Shivashankari. The kaleidoscope of delegates and guests included Past IIW  Presidents, Past IIWRs, IIW Board Members and delegates from Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Sweden, PAPS, Rotary Governor, and the Mayor of Vijayawada. The precise arrangements made by the Conference Chairman A. Nookaratnam G. Rao and her committee, Host Club Presidents Y. Nirmala, and G. Ponnamamba carried the Triennial to the pinnacle of success.
