Inner Wheel Club of Vijayawada is one of the most significant and vibrant clubs of Inner Wheel District 302. It came into existence on 7th April,1968. It has produced Nine Past District Chairmen and one Association President.
The fifth triennial conference was hosted before bifurcation on behalf of District 315 in the year 1988 – 89.

Open your Heart
There were several ‘Firsts’ during the tenure of this gracious PDC. The District Directory was released for the first time. For the first time, clubs were divided into ‘ABC’ Groups for Awards and in fact she is credited for introducing the host awards. A marathon 7 clubs were started by her. She has hosted and chaired many District events and proved that her ‘Heart’ is forever ‘Open’ to Inner Wheel.

Understanding & Peace
As the IIW Theme during her tenure says, ‘Understanding & Peace’ this PDC is endowed with great understanding and is always peaceful with whatever she has. PDC Nookaratnam is a simple down to earth, non-interfering and principled lady. She has a great respect for equality in gender and we respect her a lot.

Communicate
PAP Mythri brought great laurels to our District by becoming the first ever Association President of Inner Wheel Clubs in India, from our District in the year 1988-1989. She hosted the Vth Triennial Conference at Vijayawada. PDC Mythri ‘Communicated’ the objects and motto of Inner Wheel well during her tenure as Chairman.

Put Your Heart into It
PDC Mrs. Vijayasree Gupta ‘Puts her Heart’ into everything she does. This young grandma, put her heart into swimming at the age of 30 and she emerged successful. She is the first lady to have swum across the Krishna River. She won several gold and silver medals at the All India Swimming Competitions for above 40 at many places. Her well maintained figure shows that she is a lover of sports and athletics.

The ‘Heart and Home’ of this lovely PDC is always ‘Open’. Their family is well known for their hospitality. PDC Rashmi introduced Zonal Meets and appointment of Zonal Representatives in the District. Rashmi has always been warm, affectionate and friendly. Her simplicity won the hearts of many.

Make our World a Better Place
PDC Sakala has surely made District 302 and the ‘World a Better Place’ to live in with her great inborn zeal to serve the needy and downtrodden. She is a part of the family of distinguished social workers for social justice. Her dynamic voice with a good punch leaves the audience spell bound. She has written a book highlighting women and social problems.

Show that you Care
Manjula, an all time favourite, is highly innovative and creative. She is a role model of our District. Manjula loves writing and has won many prizes in Inter District competitions. This ever smiling lady is a voracious reader, Bharatanatyam dancer, and is artistically inclined. A simple yet versatile and dynamic lady, ‘shows that she cares’ by her helping nature, generosity and love for animals.

Light the Path
The computer savvy and elegant Maniprabha ‘lit the path’ in her tenure by hosting ‘Jagruti – the Awakening’, a Multi district seminar attended by 13 Inner Wheel Districts. The innovative Maniprabha, inaugurated 8 Happy Schools – a record in India during her tenure. The ever willing to help Maniprabha, also undertook a joint district project of construction of 3 guest rooms with attached toilets and one public toilet..
